Our third show of the year is now up! From now until January 21, Bhavna Mehta and a number of her students have an impressive paper cutting installation in the Rose Gallery.
Raised and influenced by folk art traditions from India, Bhavna Mehta tells stories through intricately cut paper. Cuts and Links is an installation that encompasses a selection from Mehta’s body of work, a collaboration in bookmaking with Diane Gage, and a collection of her students’ and friends’ work. Drawn with a knife, all the work in this show speaks to connections longed for and contemplated within people, relationships, memories, and the links that connect them to a single story.
There will be an artist reception for Cuts and Links on Thursday January 14 from 5-7PM at the gallery.
The gallery is open to the public from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm weekdays, and by appointment. Visitors are required to stop at the security booth or in the Administration building for a pass on their way in. Please email any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 858-569-7900 ex. 4326.
